The giraffe family here at the Santa Barbara Zoo is just a small part of the population of 104 Masai giraffes that live at 28 accredited zoos in North America. Hello Sergey, Thank you for taking the time to comment on my photo. This opportunity occurred after a long day at the zoo, near the backyard fence. We had walked as far back as we cared to to photograph the Lions, but then we saw the Giraffe enclosure. A rather brisk climb up hill to be at Giraffe head level and this little girl was all ready to feed salad the the first one to arrive.
